Celerant named ‘Major Player’ by IDC MarketScape
Celerant Technology has been recognised as a ‘Major Player’ in the IDC MarketScape Worldwide Point-of-Sale Software in Small and Midsize Retail Apparel and Softlines 2018 Vendor Assessment. IDC MarketScape provides guidance for retail technology buyers. Celerant is a leading provider of innovative retail and ecommerce solutions headquartered in the US.
IDC MarketScape performs extensive analysis of the key retail software providers through vendor briefings, RFI responses, customer reference calls, and ongoing research and analysis based on business, industry, and software segments.
Celerant received high marks for understanding the SMB market and was included within the study based on industry reputation, features and functionality offered for the omni-channel retailer, and scalability within the apparel space.
While the IDC Report focuses on point-of-sale providers, it also has a pre-requisite of omni-channel capabilities, meaning that technology providers included need to offer omni-channel commerce. Celerant offers custom ecommerce websites, integrated within the Celerant POS platform, as well as digital marketing services including SEO and email marketing automation, online marketplace integrations, and distributor integrations for available inventory feeds with drop shipping.
Celerant’s president and CEO, Ian Goldman said, “We are honoured to be considered a ‘Major Player’ for apparel POS software and recommended by the IDC Research Group. Since our inception in 1999, our core premise is to offer an all-in-one software solution for the SMB retailer that needs one vendor to fill all of their retail technology needs.” (GK)
