Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs Expo preparations underway in Randolph County

ELKINS, W.Va. – Plans are underway for the annual Hooked on Fishing Not on Drugs Expo in Randolph County.

The Expo is a nationally recognized drug prevention program which brings hundreds of families for a day of activities, education and prizes.

Organizers for the event have decided to only host a one-day event this year which is sure to be packed with family fun and giveaways.

“A lot of the vendors who come bring education for kids on things they can do and incorporate into their lifestyle that’s healthy.  One of the biggest attractions is all the interactivity at the booths.  A lot of people have games for the kids; they have giveaways,” said Davis Health System Marketing and Development Vice President Tracy Fath.

The Expo will be held Saturday, March 17, from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the Elkins High School gym.

Vendor spots are still available. For more information, call the HOFNOD event coordinator Robin Miller at (304) 637-3532.
