L’Oréal Australia ushers in Support & Stay In Touch program to help employees navigate parental leave
Having amended its parental leave policy last year to offer all parents a blanket 14 weeks of leave, regardless of gender or whether they are the primary or secondary carer, L’Oréal Australia has gone one better with a new initiative aimed at supporting parents as they navigate juggling child care and the return to work, according to a report published by the Women’s Agenda.
The French beauty giant has teamed up with Circle In to launch the Parent Support & Stay in Touch program, which aims to support parents from the very start of their journey – ie when planning leave – during their leave to enable them to keep in touch with their employer through to the end when they return to work.
Those on leave have 10 paid ‘keep-in-touch’ days at their disposal as well as an additional 20 hours to enable them to attend medical appointments. The company also offers flexible working to its employees.
